Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with Josh, a seasoned professional with 23 years of experience in the construction industry in Washington State. Josh is the driving force behind True Bearing Built, a company that has made its mark as a mid to high-end general contractor in the region.

The Mission and Core Values

True Bearing Built operates under a mission to deliver high-quality experiences. This mission is underpinned by five core values that guide their operations:

  1. Positive People: Fostering a positive work environment and attitude.
  2. Product, Outcome, Ethics of the Highest Quality: Ensuring top-notch results and maintaining strong ethical standards.
  3. Always Growing Knowledge and Creativity: Continual learning and innovation.
  4. Treat Self, Partner, and Others Well: Promoting respect and good treatment for all.
  5. Honor Commitments & Show Up: Upholding promises and being present and accountable.

The Company’s Vision

True Bearing Built aspires to be the first choice for projects of architectural significance in the area. With a dedicated team of 20, they manage 6 to 7 active projects at any given time, ensuring each project receives the necessary time and resources. Their commitment to quality has put them in high demand, with bookings already in place for 2024 and half of 2025.

Their Process

True Bearing Built employs a rigorous and deliberate process to track their work, protect their clients, and maintain accountability. They are collaborative in finding the right solutions when issues arise and make it a point to ask the right questions early in pre-construction meetings. This approach eases the process for the client and sets clear expectations.

Final Thoughts

My conversation with Josh was invigorating. His positive attitude permeates every aspect of his business, making True Bearing Built one of our favorite collaborators. They consistently produce a well-crafted product, and we look forward to future projects with them. If you would like to know more about some of the specific projects that we have completed with True Bearing Built, please let us know.
