Nov 28, 2023

In this season, it isn’t hard to remember the good fortune I have had in life. I am lucky to be able to do this work, have people who love and care for me, and to have comfort and stability in my life. When things weren’t so simple for me, a little help went a long way.

Throughout 2023, Haven Design Workshop made a concerted effort to give back to nonprofits in our community with the goal of donating 1% of our company earnings each quarter. It has been a fun journey to learn about many of the incredible efforts being made in Whatcom County.

During this final month of the year, we are asking you to make a contribution of your own. There are many important causes, but no matter which you choose, your impact will change the world. There are amazing people building the networks to provide care and support the most vulnerable members of our society. Let’s show them how much they mean to a healthy, functioning, society.

In 2024, Haven Design Workshop will continue to donate a share. If you know of a non profit that needs attention or volunteers, please let us know.

In the meantime, please consider donating to one of the following organizations on this Giving Tuesday.

Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association

Ferndale Food Bank

Skookum Kids

Bellingham Food Bank Hunger vs Hunger Campaign

Bellingham YWCA

Acts of Kindness Project

Whatcom Young Professional

The Lynden Choral Society
